Y [Sending ]: FEDS1 THE FEDS Part I "Electronic Surveillance" By The Dutchman ][ THE SHADOW BROTHERHOOD ][ In today's society everything can be a bust. Even calling between pay fones can be immediately tapped. Any room can be bugged. Laser beams can be bunced off window panes to reveal conversations. Whispered conversations in a traveling car can be revealed by a properly equip speeding car. Police Ifiltrators carry bugs in the heals of their shoes. In basement rooms of telephone exchanges, recorders monitor hundreds of telephone calls. These are but a few of the many ways ma and the fed's try and bust ya, tere's many many more from pen bugs to neck tie bugs and on and on. In order to distinguish, a Tap is used only for fones where as a bug is for monitoring convo's in a room. Elsur is the FBI's acronym for these arts. The FBI as well as many other installations have been known to make "Suicide Taps" These are illegal taps and called "Suicide" because of the result if found out. This doesn't bother the agencies very much for with the info they can gather their bond to find some way to bust you legally, that is as long as their tap isn't found out. Surveillance goes so far as transatlantic. According to the National Scurity Agency (NSA), every transatlantic call entering or leaving the U.S. is recorded by the agency. The army appears to also monitor the mails. An eample of this was recorded when a 14 year old boy decided he wanted to go to camp in East Germany, a camp run by the East German communist party. All smmer long all letters written by his parents to him and officials there where summarized by a unit of ASA known as U.S. Army Operations and Research Dtachment (USAO & RD) in Frankfurt. The address of the unit is the same as NSA headquarters for Europe. The USAO &RD passed these along to the U.S. legal attache in Bonn, He passed them on to FBI H.Q. in Washington D.C. and than to the FBI H.Q. in Philadelphia. None of this suggests that a special investigation was going on, infact all facts point in the direction that the FBI became curious from routine tansatlantic mail checks by Army Surveillance. Now, is East Germany an exception or are all bloc countries checked? According to federal figures taps operating for a period of 2 weeks for one year cost $700 for the feds and $388 for locals per day. At these rates 10 taps operating for one year in N.Y.C. would cost one and a half times the N.Y.C. Intelligence Units budget. So where do all the money for "legal" taps cme from? They have to be using illegal ones. The best guide to electronic surveillance equipment comes from a commercial publishing firm called Sirchie Fingerprint Laboratories of Moerestown, N.J.. These are only available to law enforcement agencies. The ctalogue is suppose to only come to those who send the correct letterhead of legit authorities. I have one. It features microfones smaller than a button, oes that can be used as a working piece of a telephone. Dozens of systems all containing a recorder. There's a few with the logo "Undetectable by telephone cmpany." All mic's run between 175-200 mhz. So you could make your own or pick up the wave from a bought radio. Another catalog is by Jensen Tools inc 7815 S. 46th street, Phoenix, Arizona. You can send away for this one. It may not specialize in surveillance but it does include telephone test equipment, Linesman handsets, recorders that only start when a pre-fixed tone is given, traces and many others.
